Jackman on Wolverine reshoots
The other day, we heard that extensive reshoots were required for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Depending on what you think, it was either all about the weather, or all about the director getting his way.
Now Hugh Jackman has repeated the party line. It really is all about the weather he says.
The reshoots for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, were supposedly all about capturing specific weather conditions. Although rumours also abounded, that it was really all about Gavin Hood being able to shoot footage that he wanted. Without Richard Donner or studio executives getting in the way.
In order to convince us that there really is nothing shady going on, none other that Hugh Jackman himself has spoken out. He e-mailed AICN, and told us all that everything is fine.
Hey everyone -It's Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie - I owe it all to you guys!
I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we've got much more in store!
In the meantime, here's an exclusive shot of some characters you may recognize...
Cheers,
Hugh
So if you believe Jackman, there really is no conspiracy going on here. And the Wolverine we saw in the trailer, is exactly the Wolverine we'll see in the film. Guess we'll have to wait until we see it to find out. In the meantime, head over to AICN to see the photo of the motley looking crew.
