Stalked: Jonah Hex, Law Abiding Citizen, Bye Bye Birdie

Jonah Hex has a new director.

Law Abiding Citizen has some new cast members.

And Adam Shankman has a new musical to adapt.

Jonah Hex has a new director after the departure of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. They left after writing the script, but now a replacement has been found. Making his live action debut will be Jimmy Hayward. A former animator, he worked on a fair few Pixar films, before directing Horton Hears a Who! The news is from The Hollywood Reporter. Seems a strange choice, do you agree with it?

Michael Gambon, Leslie Bibb, Colm Meaney and Theresa Randle have all joined Law Abiding Citizen. Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx are already starring in the film. The film sees a D.A working a plea deal, which lets the killer of a man's family free. The man then sets out to get his own justice from the D.A. The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Just yesterday we heard from Adam Shankman about Hairspray 2. And now he's agreed to direct another musical film remake. The Hollywood Reporter says he will direct a remake of Bye Bye Birdie. There seems to have been a fair few adaptations of it, and I guess following Hairspray it should be in good hands?
