He told The Telegraph, through Collider, that Cate Blanchett is likely to get the part. Gee they really are scraping the barrell, ahem.

Brett Ratner is at it again. The next project he's signed up to direct, is a film version of Youngblood. I've managed to miss the graphic novel, but it apparently is about a team of superheros who are overseen by the government. I can imagine some Youngblood fans not being too amused at this news from Variety.

Michael Pena, Brad Dourif and Bill Cobbs have all joined the cast of My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done. Werner Herzog is directing the psychological thriller, with David Lynch Executive Producing. Already onboard are Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe and Chloe Sevigny. The film sees a series of strange events, which leads a man to murder his mother with a sword.
