Daniel Day-Lewis and Benicio Del Toro are in talks to star in Martin Scorsese's Silence. The film is an adaptation of a novel by Shusaku Endo. Gael Garcia Bernal is also a possible cast member. The film will tell the story of two Jesuit priests, who travel to Japan to find their mentor, and to spread the gospel of Christianity. Once their they face violence and persecution.
