Stalked: Gulliver's Travels, Narnia, Mickey Rourke, Joaquin Phoenix

Gulliver has two new companions on his Travels.

Narnia is back from the dead.

Joaquin Phoenix may be kidding us all.

And Mickey Rourke has another new role.

Emily Blunt and Jason Segel are close to agreeing to join Gulliver's Travels. Jack Black is already playing Gulliver. Blunt would play a Lilliputian princess, who is also Black's love interest. Segel would play Gulliver's best friend Horatio, who helps him escape. Only problem being at the minute, is that Blunt is also supposed to be playing Black Widow in Iron Man 2. The two films may overlap, and Iron Man may be the one to be dropped. They are trying to sort it all out though, so that she can play both roles. The news is from Coming Soon.

After Disney scrapped the third Narnia film, you could have been forgiven for thinking that it was finished. Not so though, Fox have stepped in and will develop the film. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader is expected to go back to the more magical aspects of the story. Aspects which were supposedly present in the first film. Fox are waiting for a suitable script. So Narnia isn't finished after all. The news comes from Latino Review.

Surprised when Joaquin Phoenix gave up acting for a new career in hip-hop? Well it turns out it may all be a joke. Entertainment Weekly, through Cinematical, quote Phoenix as saying:

It's a put-on. I'm going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it.

It seems like a fairly elaborate hoax, but you never know. Anyone out there heard Phoenix busting some rhymes? Any good? Do you think he's pulling our leg?

Mickey Rourke's resurgence continues. After signing up for Iron Man 2, he's now to star in Broken Horses. The film is to be directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the Bollywood director's first Hollywood film. No word on the story yet, except that it's an original idea from Chopra, and it's a gangster film. The news is from First Showing.net.
