Timothy Hutton has joined the cast of Roman Polanski's next film The Ghost which already is set to star Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan, who isn’t singing thankfully. McGregor plays a ghost writer who is hired to complete the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister, played by Brosnan, but during the research and writing he uncovers a secret that puts him in harm’s way. Hutton will play the Prime Minister's American lawyer. Tom Wilkinson, James Belushi and Kim Cattrall also starring in the highly cast film. The story comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
Ciaran Hinds, Tom Wilkinson and Jessica Chastain have been cast in the thriller The Debt according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film which tells the fictional story of three Israeli Mossad agents who are on a mission in 1965 to kill a notorious Nazi war criminal but some thirty years later one of them meets a man claiming to be the war criminal and the agent begins to investigate what really happened in the past. It already stars Helen Mirren, Sam Worthington, Marton Csokas, Jesper Christensen and Romi Aboulafia. John Madden is directing the script from Matthew Vaughn, Jane Goldman and Peter Straughan.
Ken Nolan is rewriting the script for an untitled film about the colonisation of the moon that already has Jake Gyllenhaal leading and is to be directed by Doug Liman. This marks the third rewrite of the script which even Simon Kinberg has had a crack at. The Hollywood Reporter.
