Rumour has it that all ofthe stars of Sex and the City have signed for the sequel, if the insider source that E!online has managed to talk to has it right. However do we really want to see more of the same? Mr Big and Carrie get into more problems, and the rest of them do the same stuff again. In fact Variety has just confirmed it from New Line, the female leads are signed, as is the writer director, so the same crew are back again. Who knows why?
Steven Soderbergh looks set to drop Cleopatra the musical for Moneyball: The Art of Winning An Unfair Game starring Brad Pitt. Soderbergh had lined up Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hugh Jackman to play the leads of Cleopatra and Antony, however there were scheduling conflicts for Jackman and Soderbergh looks to have moved on. Variety tells us that the novel follows Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, as he used sophisticated computer analysis system to select a team that was a regular player in the World Series, despite the team having a dramatically lower bankroll than the other big names.
Amber Heard is going from strength to strength it would seem as The Hollywood Reporter tell us that she's set to appear next to Johnny Depp in Rum Diary, the adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel adapted and directed by Bruce Robinson. This is a big move for Heard and marks the first of her leading roles, perhaps, even if she is going to exhibit a lot of nudity in the film, something that previous leading actresses lined up for the role weren't too keen on. Add to that the fact that she's going to star in John Carpenter's The Ward.
