Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer online

Transformers2.jpgThe trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has now arrived online, albeit in a bootlegged version from the first screening of it in a cinema, it has arrived, and it won't be too long before the official version arrives too.

I expect that the video will disappear quickly, but as one is removed others will rise to take its place. When will studios learn that as soon as the first trailer is shown in a cinema they should have the decent version online.

Oh I know why, it's because they love the hype surrounding the bootlegged trailers, and if they leave them bootlegged live for a few days they'll really build hype for the full, high resolution version of the trailer when it comes out.

So we'll stick with the bootlegged version for now which I found through Get the Picture and you can see the trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen right here.

It's a cracking trailer effects wise, that's for sure, but I do get the feeling that there's going to be way more close cropped shots and fast cut action. Following it on the big screen is going to be as difficult as the first film, Transformers (Filmstalker review), that said it was entertaining and there were tons of fans.

This second trailer looks like it's a lot tougher and darker than the first, which is where the second film always has to go, it also suggests more tough times for Optimus Prime. Is there anything else you can gleam from the trailer other than the teaser shots we've already seen?

Does a good job of building up the tension but really it's only a showreel for the special effects.

People actually pay money for this.

Lots and lots of money.

Looks as daft and fun as the first one.

Michael Bay obviously wasn't involved in editing it, I could almost take in what was going on. Does look like good fun though, and the effects look great.

I'm guessing this will be another case of style over substance.

Who exactly was expecting substance, from a Transformers movie?

Expecting? Not me, hoping though, oh yes. Hoping above hope for something better.
