Now while I hate the idea that this is in 3D and things falling from the sky give the animators the perfect excuse to make things fly towards the camera, the idea of the film sounds rather interesting, and when you see the trailer you can't help but have a little laugh.

Mind you, I still don't get the story behind it, instead we're treated to a number of scenes of foodstuffs falling from the sky.

Actually come to think of it now it isn't much of a story trailer, just something to setup the mood of it all. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a film about food falling from the sky.

Oh we do learn that a crazy inventor has created the ability to turn water into food and that he may well have a device to seed clouds with his invention so that the food falls from the sky, but other than that who knows.

3D aside it looks like a lot of fun, but I just can't help but think that the 3D will ruin the experience for me once again.
