Keira Knightley on Pirates and My Fair Lady
Keira Knightley has been talking about one role she's not planning on taking up again, and also about one she's hoping to play.
Yet again she is saying she's had enough of Pirates of the Caribbean, but My Fair Lady isn't moving quick enough for her.
Last September Keira Knightley said she didn't see herself starring in anymore Pirates of the Caribbean films. And it doesn't look like she is going to change her mind. She talked to Moviefone, through Cinematical.
It was a completely fantastic experience, and it was an amazingly large portion of my life, but I don't think I need to go there again. I think that it's done. But I'm very excited to see the next one.
I can't say I share her enthusiasm. I'm not a Pirates fan. One project she does seem excited about is the remake of My Fair Lady. Although she says she hasn't heard anything on it for quite a while.
I auditioned for it about two years ago, and I think it's been a matter of trying to assemble the correct team to do it that is going to make as interesting a movie and as good a movie as possible. There are good whispers going around, you know, and hopefully they'll come to fruition.
It was Summer last year that we heard she had been cast, so I guess they really are waiting for the right people. She doesn't know though if Danny Boyle will be directing, one of many films he has been linked with. I can't say I'll be falling over myself to go and see her in My Fair Lady, but then I'm not a big fan of her generally.
Are you glad she won't be in the next Pirates film? Are you looking forward to her starring in a musical?
