New Town Killers trailer online

DougrayScott.jpgI was mad that I missed New Town Killers at the Glasgow Film Festival this year, but the Richard Jobson film starring Dougray Scott and Alastair Mackenzie, has had a trailer online for some time and it's not too bad.

The film tells the story of two private investment bankers who are rather well off - yes it's before everyone hated bank staff for no good reason - and who like playing games with people. They pick people down on their luck and offer them huge sums of cash if they can evade them, and survive, for a twelve hour period.

They pick on a teenager who lives with his sister on a housing estate, they're both in massive debt and their lives are going downhill fast, that is until the bankers approach him with an offer he can't refuse. After all, it's only twelve hours.

Richard Jobson wrote and directed New Town Killers in Edinburgh, and with the recognisable face and talent of Dougray Scott and the growing career of Alastair Mackenzie, whom you may remember from Scottish television in Monarch of the Glen and a few films since, we're treated to a thriller that sounds rather exciting.

I can't tell you how mad I was that I missed the film, but you just can't see everything, and if you're like me and didn't get to see it then here's the trailer for the film. Thanks to SweetonSigmaFilms on Twitter for the link.
