The trailer for Pandorum, the science fiction film directed by Christian Alvart, the man who directed the excellent Antikörper (Antibodies) (Filmstalker review), and starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster, has arrived online and you can see it right here.

The story is about two men who wake up on a spaceship from their deep sleep in suspended animation without any idea where they are, who they are, or what they are doing here. However the ship they thought was abandoned isn't, and soon they realise that they are in terrible danger.

It'll be interesting to see what Christian Alvart makes of his first Hollywood film, or rather his second since he's already made Case 39 but it looks like we won't get to see that if the studio has anything to do with it, they've already dropped the release date.

Pandorum, the trailer, does have the hallmarks of something a little different from Hollywood wrapped up in a Hollywood trailer, but the casting of Dennis Quaid against Ben Foster looks set to deliver an interesting dynamic.

Then, in the trailer, there's the young lady (played by Antje Traue) and a brief glimpse of some humans/creatures running on all fours across some pipes inside the ship, well at least that's what it looks like.

Right now it's all guesswork, and the trailer keeps it that way. However if Alvart lives up to what he delivered in Antibodies then we're in for a great psychological thriller.
