Stalked: Emily Browning, Paul Bettany, Drew Barrymore, Emma Stone

Emily Browning is taking on the lead role in Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch. Amanda Seyfried was originally intended for the role, but scheduling problems meant she had to pull out. Browning will now play the lead, alongside Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood. Browning will play a young woman confined to a mental institution, who creates an alternative reality. The news is from Variety.

Paul Bettany is close to agreeing to star in the horror Western, Priest. The film is based on a comic book, which has man in a centuries old war with vampires. Bettany plays a priest who turns his back on the church, so he can track down a group of vampires who kidnapped his niece. The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Variety say Drew Barrymore has joined Justin Long in Going the Distance. The romantic comedy is about two people who are in a long distance relationship. They soon discover just how difficult it is.

Emma Stone is starring in Easy A. The film is a modern take on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The Scarlet Letter. Stone will play a high school girl who acts promiscuous thinking she will benefit from it. The news is from Variety.
