Leonardo DiCaprio is to star in Christopher Nolan's Inception. Not much is known about the plot yet, other than it is a sci-fi thriller set "in the architecture of the mind". Nolan has also written the script. The news comes from Variety.
Some casting news that we brought you way back in September last year has been confirmed. Megan Fox will star in and help develop the film version of Fathom. About a girl who finds out she is part of an aquatic race of humans, who can control water. Not only is she starring in Fathom, she will also appear in Jonah Hex. She will play the love interest of Josh Brolin, who is playing the title character. The news is from The Hollywood Reporter.
With Watchmen in the bag, Zack Snyder is turning to Sucker Punch. We already know that Amanda Seyfried is close to agreeing to star, and now a few potential other stars have been named. The Hollywood Reporter say Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone are all in negotiations to star in the film that Snyder has called, "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns". Seyfried will play the main character, a young woman who is in a mental institution. She creates an alternative reality, where she plans her escape.
The remake of George A. Romero's The Crazies has two new cast members. Danielle Panabaker and Joe Anderson have joined Timothy Olyphant who stars as the sheriff of a small town. An incident sees a biological weapon infect the water supply, leading to death and chaos. The Hollywood Reporter say Panabaker will play the receptionist at the local medical centre, and Anderson will play the deputy sheriff.
