Stalked: Main Street, Ron Howard, Simon Beaufoy
Orlando Bloom has a leading lady in Main Street.
Ron Howard may be taking on The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft.
And Simon Beaufoy is trying his hand at animation.
Orlando Bloom is starring in Main Street, and will be joined by Amber Tamblyn, Ellen Burstyn, Patricia Clarkson and Colin Firth. The plot has a small town in America, which with the arrival of a mysterious stranger, faces some trouble. The news is from Jo Blo.
The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft is being made into a film. Universal have bought the rights to the graphic novel, and hope Ron Howard will direct. Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz wrote the novel, which borrows from aspects of Lovecraft's life. Variety say it covers such things as:
his family’s struggle with mental illness and his own bouts with writer’s block, and transforms the young writer’s darkest nightmares into reality when he comes across a book that puts a curse on him and lets the evils he conjures up loose on the world.
The Oscar winning writer of Slumdog Millionaire has agreed to try his hand at animation next. Simon Beaufoy is to work on Dreamworks' Truckers. No information on plot just yet. The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
