Stalked: Thirteenth Hour, Alfred Molina, Ghostbusters 3, 11 Minutes
Michael Brandt and Derek Haas are adapting The Thirteenth Hour.
Alfred Molina is playing an evil magician.
Judd Apatow is not involved in Ghostbusters 3.
And 11 Minutes has three cast members, including Mickey Rourke.
The rights to The Thirteenth Hour had already been bought, with a film version in mind. The story sees a man accused of murdering his wife. He then gets to go back in time in one hour increments, for twelve hours, to try and stop it happening. The adaptation now has a writing team involved, and it's Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. They have previously worked on Wanted, 3:10 to Yuma and The Matarese Circle. The news is from Variety.
Alfred Molina is to play the villain in The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel are already starring in the Disney film. Baruchel plays a college student who ends up working for a sorcerer (Cage). He passes on all kinds of information about magic, so that the younger guy can take on the forces of evil in New York. The Hollywood Reporter says Molina will play the evil magician Horvath.
Ghostbusters 3 may or may not be ready to film later this year. But we can say for sure that Judd Apatow is not involved. His name was mentioned early on, when rumours of a third film started. But Sony have confirmed that Apatow is not part of the team trying to put together Ghostbusters 3. The news comes from Jo Blo.
Alice Braga, Mickey Rourke and Vincent Cassel are all to star in 11 Minutes. It's a film version of a book by Paulo Coehlo. Braga will play a young Brazilian woman who after being betrayed in love, becomes a call-girl in a gentlemen's club in Geneva. A young painter offers her the chance of a new life, but will she take it? Rourke will play the club owner. The news is from Variety.
