Clash of the Titans gains Titans

LiamNeeson.jpgI'm getting more and more interested in what could happen with the Clash of the Titans remake, although I'm still unsure about the choice of director and probably the over reliance on huge effects, that's starting to be pushed to the wayside with the announcements of the cast.

There are two names that are being touted are Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. Not only that but Neeson is playing Zeus and Fiennes is playing Hades, what a warring pair that will make.

Liam Neeson is already signed to play Zeus, the king of the gods and the father of Perseus, the lead character played by Sam Worthington.

Ralph Fiennes, who according to The Hollywood Reporter is still in negotiations, is set to play Hades, the king of the underworld who is planning to overthrow Zeus and rule over all worlds, gods and man.

They will join Sam Worthington, Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos. So Fiennes, Neeson and Mikkelesen, I'm liking that line up already.

Of course it's not really much of a stretch for these three actors, but it could be a bit of fun for them, and if Louis Leterrier can focus more on his Hulk side than his Transporter side then I think we might see a strong remake of the film. However they have to remember to stay focussed on the fantasy and the story.
