Stalked: Schumacher casts Twelve, Death at a Funeral remake cast, Abrams' Morning Glory

Joel Schumacher has cast his drug dealer film Twelve...

The remake of Death at a Funeral gains a huge cast...

J.J. Abrams Morning Glory comedy has some big names...

Joel Schumacher has cast a number of names for his next film according to Empire, Twelve, a film about a young drug dealer in New York whose cousin is murdered and his best friend arrested for the crime. The novel sounds an interesting one, but then Schumacher has a far from strong list of films behind him, ups and downs that's for sure. Then there's the cast list to look at, Chace Crawford, Emma Roberts, 50 Cent, Rory Culkin, Ellen Barkin and even Kiefer Sutherland. Now that's a great cast, but can Schumacher actually deliver a strong film?

The cast of the remake of Death at a Funeral is growing and The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Kevin Hart has just joined Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, Zoe Saldana, James Marsden, Danny Glover, Columbus Short, Regina Hall, Loretta Devine and Ron Glass. The story remains pretty much the same as the original, a dysfunctional family is drawn together at a funeral and things fall apart when a man arrives claiming to be the gay lover of the well respected head of the family, who just so happens to be the dead guy.

Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum, Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams are teaming up in a comedy called Morning Glory which J.J. Abrams is producing. Ford and Keaton are playing fighting news anchors whose show is struggling for ratings. The boss, played by Goldblum, hires a new producer to keep them under control, played by McAdams. Variety says that Roger Michell is directing the film and Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada, has delivered the screenplay. Comedies are comedies, but I have to say the casting and plot line for this do sound promising.
