Chris Hemsworth is cast as Thor

ChrisHemsworth.jpgSince Thor was announced there has been a fair amount of speculation about who would play him. Numerous names have been linked with the role, and then dismissed.

The role has now been cast though, and it is Chris Hemsworth who will play Thor.

Matthew McConaughey, Brad Pitt and Alexander Skarsgård are amoung the names touted as playing Thor in Kenneth Branagh's film. But it has now been announced that Chris Hemsworth will be playing the role. The news comes from Latino Review.

A relative newcomer Hemsworth plays George Kirk, James T. Kirk's father, in the new Star Trek (Filmstalker review) film. And has only recently arrived in Hollywood after a few years in Australian soap Home and Away. I reckon he might be the right mix of look, physique and talent.

So what do you think? Is Chris Hemsworth the right man for the job?
