This kind of trailer might normally pass me by but I took a look at the trailer for Ninja and discovered something surprising, the production values are high, and while there isn't really a lot of story for the film, there's plenty of action in there.

The film is from director Isaac Florentine and stars Scott Adkins and Tsuyoshi Ihara, both faces you might well recognise from elsewhere, and they look pretty good in the trailer.

The blurb for Ninja goes like this:

"A westerner named Casey, studying Ninjutsu in Japan, is asked by the Sensei to return to New York to protect the legendary Yoroi Bitsu, an armored chest that contains the weapons of the last Koga Ninja."

Sounds pretty standard stuff, but watch the trailer and then tell me what you think, I'm looking at a strong action film, and one that might just offer that little extra something. What do you think? Is it just another martial arts showcase of fighters, or is there really something more?
