Stalked: Another Taken, Dick's Tears, The Secret, Another Conan director, Neeson, Banderas and Linney

The Gunslinger sounds like another Taken, and that's a good thing...

Philip K. Dick's novel Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said is to be made into a film...

Dark Horse Comics' horror thriller The Secret is set to be adapted...

Oh, and there's another name attached to the Conan director race...

Liam Neeson, Antonio Banderas and Laura Linney are starring in The Other Man...

The Gunslinger is a new film that is said to be in the same vein as Taken (Filmstalker review). According to The Hollywood Reporter the film follows an ex-Texas ranger who is after the men who killed his brother and have taken his nephew. It says he'll stop at nothing to make them pay and get his nephew back. The script is only a speculative one from first time writer John Hlavin, however the studio are very keen on it.

Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said is a Philip K. Dick novel (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com) from back in 1974 and is set to be adapted for film. It tells the story of a celebrity who awakes after an assassination attempt to find that no-one has ever heard of him. The story comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Dark Horse's comic The Secret is set to be adapted by Scott Milam. The story follows that og a group of high school students who are involved in a prank that goes terribly wrong. Variety tells us that there's a spin on the usual teen horror in this tale.

There's another director being attached to the upcoming Conan according to Latino Review, and it's a brand new name, Phil Joanou. He's directed State of Grace, Final Analysis and Gridiron Gang, and he's supposed to be Lionsgate's first choice for the film. Who are we going to hear next is the best choice? I'm not so taken on Joanou as that of the previous rumour where we heard that Neil Marshall was one of the names.

Jaume Balagueró, the director of REC, REC2, Frágiles and Darkness, is set to create an English language film called Flatmate. Variety reports that the film will have a similar budget to the previous ones at about US $16 million. There's no word on the plot.

Liam Neeson, Antonio Banderas and Laura Linney are starring together in The Other Man according to The Hollywood Reporter. Richard Eyre is directing after co-writing with Charles Wood. The story follows a man, played by Neeson, who is trying to find out who the man having an affair with his wife is.
