Tarantino introduces new Inglourious Basterds clip

QuentinTarantino.jpgThere's a new Inglourious Basterds clip online with Quentin Tarantino introducing it and telling us what it's all about. It's an okay clip, nothing overly special, but it does look good and pretty stylish to boot.

However it does feel like the characters are taking the whole thing pretty lightly and there's not really going to be much of a feeling of dread and danger in it for them.

Over in Cannes the media and the industry types are going mad for this film, and it'll be interesting to see what happens when it comes to the film being seen in public, and an audience that isn't all over Quentin Tarantino like he's the saviour of cinema.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who hates his work, in fact I am probably one of the few who really did enjoy Death Proof (Filmstalker review) for example. It's just that he's treated as though every single film is like nothing else we've ever seen, and as Stephen said from my work the other day, he just steals from ever other film.

Well I do think Stephen was being a bit harsh there, he's not stealing, but he is heavily influenced and we have seen a lot of it before, usually just not in the one film.

Anyway, the clip of Inglourious Basterds. You can see it below from Yahoo Movies [QT:480p:720p:1080p] through JoBlo. See what you think.

How does Tarantino explain away Americans becoming Jews, which of course is not possible. Is that some kind of holy Columbus magic? When Americans do to their boatshit minority what the Jews in his movie do to the Nazis it won't be entertaining, either. Only the Americans will do it differently and much more effectively. And they will truly complete and reasonable.

Typelet what the hell are you talking about? Seriously nothing you said made any sense at all it's like you're only speaking phonetic English. Why are all the stupid people always on the internet?! WHY!?

The Internet is our playground. The Internet is our life.
