The Private Lives of Pippa Lee trailer online

RobinWrightPenn.jpgA trailer for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee has arrived online, and while I'm convinced I've seen the opening scene before, I'm not so convinced that I've seen the whole trailer.

The film stars a host of talent, Robin Wright Penn, Keanu Reeves, Julianne Moore, Alan Arkin, Winona Ryder, Maria Bello and Monica Belluci to name but a few. It tells the story of how Pippa Lee's older husband forces them to move to a retirement community, and the reflection on her own life slowly leads her to a breakdown.

Outside she seems like a quiet, gracious woman, but her past is much darker than most would imagine and her life, and her persona, begins to unravel.

The film is adapted from the Rebecca Miller book (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com) by the woman herself who also directs, and I'm really keen to see it at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this year as it promises a great deal and looks set to give Robin Wright Penn a well deserved leading role where she can show off her superb talent.

Here's the trailer for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, which I have to say does little for the film and is more a montage of still images of famous people from the film. Disappointing, but the whole package is much more alluring.

Apologies for the autoplay, it isn't something I can appear to control.

Updated the trailer for you. No problems on the autoplay now.
