New Grace trailer online
There's a new trailer online for Grace, the horror film that tells the story of a mother whose unborn baby dies during a car accident and yet she decides to take it to term. When she gives birth a miraculous thing happens, the baby comes back to life. However it's not quite the baby they expected and has some terrifying demands.
It's quite a psychologically unnerving idea, and almost straight away I found it playing on my fears and beginning to get to me, even before I'd seen anything horrific.
The film is written and directed by Paul Solet and Jordan Ladd plays the lead, a role she looks like she plays superbly well. Oh that's the mother by the way, not the baby!
Here's the trailer, which some might find upsetting.
I quite like that trailer, well the first half anyway, I think that round about the scenes of the packed meat it loses the psychological fear and horror that it was building on in the first half, something that was incredibly strong. The whole idea itself is scary and works superbly well.
What do you think? I think it's a great idea and I was annoyed that I couldn't see it at the Glasgow Film Festival this year. So far there's no release due after the showings at the Seattle International Film Festival in a few days though, and that is a little disappointing.
