Stalked: Stephen Gaghan, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Gilroy, Carey Mulligan
Stephen Gaghan is actually adapting Sonny Barger's Hell's Angels book.
Sigourney Weaver is in Paul.
Tony Gilroy is working on the Red Dawn script.
And Carey Mulligan is in Money Never Sleeps.
Earlier in the week, we learned that Stephen Gaghan was to adapt Hell's Angels. Tony Scott was going to be involved to some degree as well. It was reported that it was the book by Hunter S. Thompson that was the basis of the film. But it has now been confirmed, that it is actually the book by Sonny Barger that is being adapted. Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club, is the autobiographical account of Barger's time with the Oakland Hell's Angels. Should make for an interesting film. Tony Scott should also be directing this one. The news comes from First Showing.net.
Sigourney Weaver has officially signed on to play a part in Paul. The film from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, sees two sci-fi geeks heading to Area 51. They end up meeting an alien who has escaped. You can read about the rest of the cast here. The news is from Cinematical.
Tony Gilroy has been hired to work on the script for the Red Dawn remake. Having previously worked on scripts for all three Bourne films, he also wrote and directed Duplicity and Michael Clayton. It's not clear though if he is re-writing the script or just tweaking it. The news comes from /Film.
Money Never Sleeps has another cast member. Latino Review say that Carey Mulligan will play Gordon Gecko's daughter, who also happens to be the fiancee of Shia LaBeouf's character. Father and daughter are estranged though, and Gecko wants that to change.
