Gatchaman first teaser online

BattleofthePlanets.jpgThe first footage has appeared for Gatchaman, otherwise known as Battle of the Planets or G-Force, and although it's been captured from a screening at the 2009 Anime Expo, it's still not too bad quality.

There are a couple of scenes which fly by, but it's well worth watching to see the look and feel of the film. I really hope they release a high definition version soon so that we can see the detail of the animation. In the meantime, here's the teaser footage.

The story, according to Superhero Hype who have the link to the trailer below, is about a future world struggling with environmental and technological issues sees an alien menace arrive and the only hope for Earth are five reluctant kids who have a unique genetic code.

That's a far better write up than the IMDB listing.

A group of teenagers are recruited to form a bird theme superhero ninja team to fight the menace of Galactor.

Okay, let's put that to the side for the moment and have a look at the footage for Gatchaman.

So taking into consideration the fact that it's not the best quality, I'm not sure how much it really gives us. I do think that a proper version would give us much more, but it's a little difficult to catch the detail. What do you think? Can you get the feel of the film from this?
