Japanese G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra trailer online

GIJoe.jpgThere's a new trailer online from Japan for G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, and this one shows some more action as well as a little more from some of the main characters and something of the suits. However it still fundamentally gives the same look and feel for the film, and that has fans a little upset.

The new trailer is viewable right here, and I think it looks like a switch your brain off action adventure with plenty of special effects and some big names to ogle. That's not a view shared by all though.

It's interesting to see that fans of the property of G.I. Joe are rather put out by the film, by its styling for the characters, some of the chosen weaponry and equipment, and the way it's developing the story.

Currently it's a strong rule of thumb, if you're a fan of the property before the film, the trailer and clips are going to have you annoyed at the characters and the suits, and perhaps some of the story reveals.

That said, if you're not a G.I. Joe fan, this looks like a good action romp if ever I saw one, and the trailer makes it look even better considering the actors involved.

Still, you can't argue with popular opinion, and right now that looks pretty bad for G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, despite Stephen Sommers directing and a cast including Channing Tatum, Christopher Eccleston, Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to name but a few.

See if this new trailer does anything for you. I'm thinking not at the moment.
