Les derniers jours du monde (This is the End) trailer online

LesDerniersJoursduMonde.jpgI hadn't heard about this film until today and I have to admit to being rather intrigued. A French final days of humanity film which looks at how people behave given all the freedoms, no constraints, and a stamped finality to life, through the eyes of one man's journey to find the love of his life.

All sounds good and then I discover that the lead of the film is Mathieu Amalric, and I'm really interested. The trailer, which might be considered a little unsafe with its levels of nudity, has some rather interesting moments, and looks to address the end focussing on the small, on the individuals, rather than some huge catastrophic event.

With Mathieu Amalric on board you have to be interested, I mean the guy is a superb actor, and the directors behind the film are Arnaud Larrieu and Jean-Marie Larrieu who Quiet Earth, who have the trailer for the film, are rather excited about. I can't say I have a huge knowledge of the directors, but I'll bow to their excitement levels.

Here's the trailer to give you a feel for the film.

Les Derniers Jours du Monde (This is the End) looks rather interesting, and it might provide for a study of the human condition in such circumstances, because wouldn't a group of us just go a little crazy and take up the pleasures of life in the final days?

There's one problem though, I'm hoping that the final scene of the film hasn't been dropped in there. Mind you, would it be a surprise?
