The international trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes has arrived and it features more action and more of Sherlock Holmes than we've seen in the previous one.

I think the differences start about one and a half minutes in when the cut takes a step away from the story and we see some different, and new shots than the previous. Having just checked out the previous I think this one looks a little better.

While the comedy and light heartedness hasn't gone from the trailer, certainly the naked and handcuffed scenes have been removed, something that was rather widely commented on previously. I think this trailer is much closer to an action based Sherlock Holmes and was probably cut this way since it's for the audience where Sherlock Holmes was born.

I like this trailer, and I like the idea of the new Sherlock Holmes. Of course there's no denying I miss the old one something rotten, but still, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law look like a good pairing. I'm definitely looking forward to this and I'm hoping beyond hope that Guy Ritchie has done something very special with our Holmes.
