I have to admit I haven't actually seen The Boondock Saints, and I suspect that might give rise to sharp intakes of breath across the internet, however going by the strength of this trailer I'd say the sequel looks pretty damn good.

The trailer carries a big cast and once again Troy Duffy is writing and directing the film. Joining him we see Julie Benz, Clifton Collins Jr., Judd Nelson, Peter Fonda, and Billy Connolly with Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus returning.

Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day looks like there's plenty of action, well stylised, some cool moments, and above all smart mouthed gun play. Looks cracking actually, and I wonder why I've never looked through all the stories and just watched the first film.

Considering the hype and the strength of this trailer for the sequel, I'm definitely going to pick up the first one and see what it's all about. It really does look good.
