Messages Deleted trailer online
There are a few people talking about the Messages Deleted trailer online and so when I saw the trailer I thought I might pass it on. It's a simple but rather nice idea, and possibly one we've seen before, a scriptwriter's old screenplay becomes real around him and people start dying.
The actual full blurb gives the story away a bit more and I'm not sure if it's pointing to the ending, so I'll leave it till after the trailer. It's directed by Rob Cowan, producer of some thrillers and horrors that might match, and written by Larry Cohen, Phone Booth, Cellular and going back a bit, Best Seller, Maniac Cop and Body Snatchers. Something about phones?
First off I'll let you leap right into the trailer for Messages Deleted which stars Matthew Lillard, from the Scream films, and the talented Deborah Kara Unger.
Well it does look a little on the low budget side and the title is a little odd, as are some of the shots which are clearly from the latter parts of the film. However there's some talk of this and it does sound rather interesting.
However the blurb might give a little too much away, and if it does then you might want to look away now. It goes:
”A screenwriting teacher is forced to live out the plot of a screenplay idea he stole from a student, who now seeks revenge.”
Yet reading the full blurb it doesn't say anything about that, and watching the trailer it doesn't either. Is this a huge spoiler? Is this giving too much away? I'm not sure, but if it was then it's all out in the open now.
