Stone's South of the Border documentary trailer online
The trailer for Oliver Stone's documentary South of the Border has arrived online, a documentary that looks into Venezuela and the President of the country, Hugo Chávez.
While the U.S. politicians deliver throwaway comments like "he's worse than Bin Laden", his country sees him as a great leader who is doing right for the people and pulling away from the U.S. economic control.
Through the documentary, Oliver Stone talks to the man about himself and his country, and also seven other Latin American leaders to discover the truth unfiltered and unedited by the American media and politicians.
The trailer looks interesting, although I'm surprised there's so much of Oliver Stone himself in the film and there's so little of Hugo Chávez in the trailer, but then I guess we're being saved for the film.
Neither does the trailer really deliver a strong message of what it's going to say about the region or America, there are hints, but no startling or bold deliveries of one liners. Interesting, but compelling enough to get American's to watch it?
See for yourself.
