New Toy Story 3D teaser

ToyStory.jpgI don't really find a need to write about Toy Story and Toy Story 2 being released in 3D, after all I find it a pretty cheap gimmick, and rather cheapening to the films themselves. I really love the films and the characters, why do we need them forced into 3D and push themselves through the camera all the time?

At least I have to say they haven't recreated scenes and added in new moments where the characters leap towards the screen, just like in this trailer.

Frankly I'm a little annoyed at Disney for doing this, it's just one big marketing and money making move, and I know that happens throughout the film business, but this reeks, it really does.

I know they want to exploit the marketing potential of 3D, and they are doing just that with Toy Story 3 in 3D, why do they need to go back and rework these two wonderful films into 3D? Well, for money and marketing their third film, and that cheapens the magic of Buzz, Woody and all the other characters. Their magic found a way into my heart, and now they're trying to sell me something that they I just don't want. They're changing, and I don't want them to.

If you do though, here's the teaser, which you can see over at Apple Trailers [P:S:M:L:480p:720p:1080p].

Do you really want the original Toy Story films changed to 3D?

Whether these films are in 3D, black or white or without sound I can still find myself watching them. But yes, it is rather pointless.
