There's a new trailer online for The Road, the film from the Cormac McCarthy novel starring Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron and Guy Pearce.

The book is pretty bleak, and frankly there's nothing redeeming about it or the story at all, thankfully the trailer suggests that there's something redeeming to the film itself, although from what I've heard it's still pretty bleak.

The story is of a man and his son as they travel towards the coast of the post-apocalyptic U.S. trying to desperately find something of humanity to cling onto. With all the animals dead and the plants almost entirely gone, and human life descended to a cannibalistic chaotic society, life is far from good.

Yet this new trailer for The Road looks like there's plenty of hope for the father and son, and plenty of action. Here it is at Yahoo Movies in high definition through Coming Soon.
