Orange Cinema's secret Halloween screening
Orange Cinema are doing something rather exciting this Halloween, they're not only having a secret showing of a film in a secret location somewhere in the UK, but they're also going to provide us with clues throughout the week as to where and what the film will be. What's more the screening is going to be something rather special.
Determined to give the scariest experience for the film all audience members will receive wireless headphones and the screening will be equipped with real life special effects to bring the film to life and pull you even deeper into the experience.
This could be the scariest screening you've ever been to.
The screening promises to be one of the most immersive you'll have ever experienced, combining an audio track with absolutely no distractions, an eerie location, real life effects that merge with the film, and the film itself, Orange promise that we'll be scared senseless.
Fast update, while I'm writing this I've just received another press email that tells me the secret location will be a cemetery. Now that's going to be a frightening location indeed.
Hattie Magee, Head of Brand Partnerships, Orange UK, said of the screening:
”We believe films are better shared and there’s something very appealing about collectively watching a great film together, but with the benefit of pitch perfect sound. By giving our audience wireless headphones it means no distractions from people eating popcorn or talking. With the added 4D sensory effects, and a few other surprises, we hope to create a truly unique cinematic experience that enables film lovers to completely escape.”
Kim Newman from Empire magazine is also set to introduce the unknown film, and not only that but he'll be presenting a clip from the soon to be released Case 39, the psychological horror film starring Renée Zellweger and Ian McShane from director Christian Alvart.
So the question is how do you get your hands on those limited tickets? Just one hundred and thirty of them? Well it's easy, because tickets are absolutely free and it's first come, first served.
All you have to do is head over to the Orange Film Club Facebook Group, join up, start following and get those clues, and before you know it you could be in a cemetery watching a classic scary film in “4D”!
