Huge Thor casting reveals

Thor.jpgThere's some potentially amazing news online today about Kenneth Branagh's Thor, well rumour anyway, but the source is an actor who is trying out for a role in the film right now and has been captured in print as talking about two of the big names already cast in the film that we don't know about.

The actor concerned is Matthias Schweighöfer, who may be rather out of favour with the producers and director of Thor now he's potentially revealed two of the biggest casting announcements we've heard in a while. Believe me this is good.

Matthias Schweighöfer, who has been in Valkyrie, was talking to the German edition of GQ and revealed that he is in the running for a role in Thor, or he was until he then revealed who else is in the film already.

According to AICN he said in the article that these two names are solidly cast, and those two names are Jude Law and Robert DeNiro.

We have already heard that Brian Blessed may be playing Odin, Tom Hiddleston is playing Loki and Chris Hemsworth is set to play Thor himself, so who will Jude Law and Robert DeNiro be playing? They are certainly some pretty big names for the Thor film, but then would you expect anything less from such a director as Branagh?

Perhaps Jude Law could play the Earthly character that Thor inhabits, or maybe...ach I really don't know, who do you think that De Niro and Law could play in Kenneth Branagh's Thor?
