Tormented twelve minutes online

Tormented.jpgThe British teenage horror comedy Tormented has been revealed online with the first twelve minutes showing right now introduced by Georgia King, one of the stars from the film.

Tormented tells the story of a young teenager who dies after being seriously bullied at school, but he comes back from the grave to avenge his death and his bullying, taking it out on the people who were responsible.

Yeah, I know, doesn't sound that much of a comedy, but it is, and it stars the lead of Stormbreaker, a bit more grown up now though, Alex Pettyfer.

Unfortunately it's a very small video, but the opening is strong, the titles are good and the music is stonking. After that there's a fair amount of rude words being blanked out, but the fast cuts back and forth between characters and their dialogues is rather well done.

Cut from the school outing at the funeral to the after school party and there's the superb 300 (Filmstalker review) pit moment that made me laugh, the Gears of War moment and the Keira Knightley was all rather amusing.

You know before I saw this clip I didn't expect that much from the film, let's forget that and crank the expectation levels up, this actually looks rather good

You can see the twelve minute opening clip over at The Sun through Slingshot Studios.

Here's the blurb for the film:

Tormented is a high school horror movie that smells like teen spirit… with a hint of rotting flesh! Justine Fielding, played by Tuppence Middleton, is the gorgeous head girl of her plush suburban grammar school Fairview High. She has just won a place at Oxford University when In-Crowd hunk Alexis (Dimitri Leonidas) asks her out on a date.

All seems perfect…. except that Alexis and his circle of friends aren’t quite as hip and glam as they seem. They persistently tease anyone they consider worthless losers. Their main target, Darren Mullett (Calvin Dean), knows what his classmates did last summer. They bullied him to death.

But death is not going to stop Darren. And the in-crowd soon discover to their horror, there is no point reasoning with a very angry zombie ghost.

In the meantime, here's the trailer that I had previously.

Thoughts? Will you go and get hold of this on DVD?

The film looks nothing but predictable. I won't be watching or buying another film about pretentious teens getting murdered.

Oh, its a comedy? I think the film is the joke(s).
