I was right earlier today when I talked about a 2D footage onslaught from Avatar, it's really coming out today, and now there's an interactive trailer that allows you to download an Adobe AIR application to run alongside the official trailer.

Apparently, because I've not been able to get it to work just yet, it allows you access to featurettes through embedded options in the trailer, kind of like the Terminator Salvation Blu-ray director's “Maximum Mode” commentary which I'm enjoying right now.

You can see the new ineractive trailer over at the Avatar site, before which you have to install the Adobe AIR application, but once it's in you can just go for it.
