Day of the Triffids mini-series clips online...
The BBC have a mini-series which is going to be showing over Christmas and New Year sometime, and it's another remake of the Day of the Triffids story, this time starring Dougray Scott, Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Jason Priestley, Brian Cox, Eddie Izzard to name but a few and a few clips have been posted online for it.

You can watch them over at the BBC through Quiet Earth, and while the cast looks good, the effects might not be up to the U.S. standard, but still I think it will be an interesting remake with some new ideas.

A trailer arrived last week for a new British film called Tony. It follows a strange man living quietly by himself who suddenly comes under scrutiny when a local child goes missing. He's a loner who has an obsession with action films, has been unemployed for a very long time and is actually a serial killer.

The trailer is very stylish and really builds a strong atmosphere for the film. Watch it below:
