There's a trailer online for the American remake of Death at a Funeral, the Frank Oz directed British comedy. Now that it's over in America there's one thing that stands out from the trailer straight away, and that's the lack of subtlety.

Pretty much I have to say I'm dreading this remake, and the trailer has just hammered home that thought for me. It's not looking good.

The remake, just three years after the release of the original, comes from Neil LaBute and stars Zoe Saldana, Luke Wilson, James Marsden, Danny Glover, Martin Lawrence, Columbus Short, Chris Rock, Peter Dinklage, Tracy Morgan, Regina Hall and Loretta Devine to name but a few.

You know I still don't understand the need to remake this film, especially from Neil LaBute, didn't he already learn his lesson?
