Murray's role in Ghostbusters 3 revealed

SigourneyWeaver.jpgSigourney Weaver has revealed the unsurprising news that Ghostbusters 3 is going to be happening, but she follows that with a couple of big surprises. One of those surprises concerns the role that Bill Murray would be playing in the film, and you know what? It's kind of a superb idea.

The problem now though is that it's been revealed, but the way Weaver's talking about it I don't think she's that upset if it is a big spoiler, after all she doesn't seem that into the idea.

Now I'm telling you before you read too far, this could be a huge spoiler for Ghostbusters 3 if it's real, so step away from the screen if you don't want to know and you don't like spoilers, because this could be a big one.

If it is real, then it certainly is a huge reveal, but at the same time it's given me some hope about the third film, for it's an interesting idea.

For those of you who might not have flash, here's the key of what she said to Channel 4 in the above video through AICN:

”I know that my little son Oscar – who was kidnapped from me – I think he has grown up to be a ghostbuster...I might be in it; I see nothing wrong with being in it, although I don't think I will have a big part. I think Bill Murray has a little more to do with it - he's a ghost.”

The funny thing is when Sigourney Weaver said that last bit she held her hand up and whispered it with a coy smile, so whether she's having a joke with us or she's deliberately revealing it, who knows, but it's a great idea. If he is a ghost then he could turn out to be the friendly one all the way through, like Slimer was in the first one, just way more intelligent. Well a bit more then.
