Official clip from Kick-Ass
I still have this clip from Comic-Con on the site, and it doesn't look any different, and it does make me wonder why they've waited so long to release it. Still the first official clip from Kick-Ass does just that and it sets the tone for the film really well.
In fact it does a little more than that, it also portrays Nicolas Cage in a good role, and I don't think that's something I can say, or have said, very often on the site.
Here's the first official clip released from Kick-Ass:
Kick-Ass, if you didn't know, tells the story of a boy who decides one day to be a superhero and fight the injustice in the world, physically, for real. However he soon finds out that he can get beaten up rather badly, and that he needs some training. Not only that but there are other young superheroes out there.
It comes from UGO through Quiet Earth. Now as I said I've had this clip since Comic-Con, although it was a horrible shaky-cam type clip, and that wasn't the only one. So I would expect the clips we saw there to be released as little teasers on the build up to the film being released.
So to stay ahead of the game, as long as you don't mind the poor quality and the audience reaction over the top, have a look at the other Comic-Con clips on Filmstalker.
I'm really looking forward to Matthew Vaughn's take on the superb comic series from Mark Millar and adapted by Vaughn and Jane Goldman, also famed for her awesome red hair, and not so much for her husband. She also co-wrote Stardust (Filmstalker review).
