Neil Marshall's Centurion trailer online

Centurion.jpgI say Neil Marshall, but there are some big names fronting this epic trailer, and seemingly just as epic film. Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, Olga Kurylenko are the title bearers in the trailer, but let's not forget Noel Clarke, David Morrissey and Ulrich Thomsen to name but a few.

The cast is looking great, and the trailer looks superb. It really captures an epic feel and the battle scenes look spectacular. Could this be Marshall back to his strongest?

The film tells the story of a Roman Legion ambushed and massacred by the Pictish. There are seven survivors all trapped deep within Scotland and they have to fight for their lives to make it back to England. Hot on their heels is the Pictish army, looking for vengeance, and boy could we fight. I just didn't realise we were so good looking!

After the not so impressive Doomsday (Filmstalker review) , I'm wondering if Centurion looks like it could fade that somewhat. It has some impressive, countryside shots as Doomsday had, but a feel that might be like a toned down Dog Soldiers, think of the team up against terrifying odds and vastly superior forces.

Then there's the epic feel of the trailer and that slow beat through it. This does look really good.

Here's the trailer from IGN through First Showing:

Come on now, that's superb isn't it? You have to agree.
