Animated Zombies in A.D. trailer...

I, Frankenstein getting made?...
It was back in April that we heard Patrick Tatopoulos, the director of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, was to direct Kevin Grevioux's adaptation of the I, Frankenstein comic. It's a story that places the classic creatures of lore in a modern setting with Frankenstein learning how to control his anger and working as a private investigator, Dracula is a criminal kingpin, with the Invisible Man a secret agent.

Now we're hearing from The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision that Lakeshore have bought up the project from Death Ray Films, and it looks to be another step forward to development. They're also telling us that this Frankenstein is now the only thing that stands between the human race and an uprising of creatures set to destroy them.

Underworld IV...
In the same story above, The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision reveals that Lakeshore and Screen Gems are actively developing Underworld IV. Writer John Hlavin was brought in during November, and there's no word if Kate Beckinsale will return, mind you is she still the star of the series?

Sgt. Rock in the future...
Producer Joel Silver has been talking about the big screen adaptation of the Sgt. Rock, the comic book character who was the leader of an American company fighting during World War II in Europe. However he plans to change things slightly, or rather he plans to change things dramatically. Sgt. Rock is coming to the future.

The L.A. Times through has the producer saying that a draft of the script is coming in this week and that the film version could well happen:

”It's a little bit in the future...As a war movie, it's not going to be 'where it's been,' it's going to be 'where it's going.' We didn't want to do Iraq, we didn't want to do a contemporary war. We wanted to do a sort of futuristic war. It's pretty strong. Chad St. John wrote the script and we've got Francis Lawrence involved in developing it with us. It's not a 'go' movie yet but I'm feeling good about it.”

Animated Zombies in A.D. trailer...
I came across the A.D. trailer today courtesy of ZombieInfo and Bloody Disgusting, an animated zombie film that's looking rather superb already, and this is just a short teaser which is to get the project kick started. Ben Hibon is the director, and you can read an interview with Hibon and his team over at ZombieInfo, in the meantime here's the trailer:
