The Last Airbender trailer online in HD
There's a trailer for The Last Airbender online, following on nicely from the teaser trailer we saw for the Super Bowl, the trailer takes us a little further and shows us a little more, and damn it's good.
Is M. Night Shyamalan going to regain a whole host of fans and deserved credit with this film? Judging from the trailer he is.
Here's a blurb for The Last Airbender that adapts the very successful television series for the big screen, and if I may say at such an early stage, looks like it adapts it really well:
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar -- Master of all four elements -- kept peace between the the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Only the Avatar has the ability to Bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he Vanished. Then the Fire Nation attacked, forcing a war on the other three nations for one hundred years. Now, for the good of the world, it's up to 12-year-old Aang (Noah Ringer), the new Avatar, and the last of the Air Nomads (Airbenders), to return peace and balance by putting an end to the war and mastering all four elements. Aang must accept his destiny by stopping the Fire Nation's war and defeating the Fire Lord for good.
Does this mean we could be in for three or four films? Probably. One thing I'm glad of is there's been no talk of 3D conversion so far. So far.

Dev Patel looks mean and menacing in the trailer, and Noah Ringer, who plays Aang, looks great, especially during some of those fight scenes. Then there's the fantastic effects. You have to like this don't you? Even the M. Night Shyamalan automatic haters?
