Closed: Win free tickets to City of Life and Death at the Glasgow Film Festival!
Planning on attending the Glasgow Film Festival? Well even if you weren't, on Filmstalker you can get two tickets to see City of Life and Death as part of the Glasgow Film Festival in February.
How to win them? Listen, it couldn't be easier. Seriously it's ridiculously easy and your chances of winning are very high. First, let's see what you could win tickets for, and there are two pairs of tickets for two different films to be won.
There are two pairs of tickets up for grabs for the showing of City of Life and Death (Nanjing! Nanjing!) on Wednesday the 24th of February at 6pm at Glasgow's Cineworld as part of the Glasgow Film Festival.
City of Life and Death, also known as Nanjing! Nanjing!, is a documentary from the Chinese writer/director Chuan Lu which tells a dramatised story of an event known as the Rape of Nanking in 1937. Here's the blurb for the film from the Glasgow Film Festival's site:
”A majestic production filmed in stunning black and white, City Of Life And Death sheds a powerful light on the Rape Of Nanking, often described as the forgotten Holocaust of World War Two. Set during the Japanese invasion of China in 1937, it offers an eyewitness account of the brutality of war and the human instinct for survival. True events are dramatised through the stories of key individuals from a kind-hearted Japanese officer to the courageous leader of Chinese guerrilla fighters, a Japanese “comfort woman” and the Schindler-like figure who saved many civilians. Epic filmmaking with an arresting human heart.”
Definitely a film not to miss, I'm hoping to attend myself.
