Four Lions trailer online

FourLions.jpgI think a lot of people will be only too willing to write off Four Lions as something it's not, but the writer/director Christopher Morris is not making some cheap comedy stab at terrorism, he's a superb comedic talent who is well known on Britain for his satirical and hugely incisive comedy, this film has something to say.

However the trailer goes for the quick pay off, the laughter, and it does it superbly well. Four Lions looks hilarious, and in doing so it does something that I believe we should all do about the more serious things in life, laugh at them.

Four Lions tells the story of a group of British jihadists who are quite plainly, idiots. Christopher Morris spent years researching real terrorists and training camps and found something to be true, the terrorists are humans, and a lot of the time, not very clever ones at that.

Here's the trailer for Four Lions, a film I'm dying to see and is one of my most anticipated of the year. If you're a British television viewer, you're sure to recognise a few faces.

It looks superb, even from this short trailer, and the best thing of all is that it's going to get us laughing at what we're being told to fear, and isn't that a good thing?

You can be sure though that some will be leaping all over the film, taking the wrong intent, missing the point, and attacking it for everything it's not. Where do you lie?
