Updated: Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec trailer online with subtitles

AdeleBlancSec.jpgThe full trailer for Luc Besson's Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec has arrived online, and it's looking packed full of action, like a mixture of a female Indiana Jones and a Mummy story all bundled into one. What's more the effects look great, and without subtitles I'm still excited for the film.

The setting for the film is back in 1912 and brings to life the cartoon character of Adèle Blanc-Sec who battled all sorts of ancient creatures and human criminals to save the day, and here it's no different. You know, I could see Besson being onto a winning franchise with this.

There is a very brief shot of a topless woman coming out of a bath, so if you're at all of the mindset that images of nakedness takeover and corrupt the mind turning people into rampaging evildoers, then I would be warned. Or just get a life.

The blurb for the film, courtesy of Twitch who also have the trailer, is below:

The year is 1912. Adèle Blanc-Sec, an intrepid young reporter, will go to any lengths to achieve her aims, including sailing to Egypt to tackle mummies of all shapes and sizes.

Meanwhile, in Paris, it's panic stations! A 136 million-year old pterodactyl egg on a shelf in the natural history museum has mysteriously hatched, and the bird subjects the city to a reign of terror from the skies. But nothing fazes Adèle Blanc-Sec, whose adventures reveal many more extraordinary surprises...

Sounds good, but really you don't need that to speak for the film, what you need is the following trailer.

Honestly, Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec does look superb doesn't it?

Update: The trailer is now available with English subtitles:
