I have to say I wasn't expecting anything but inane drivel from Marmaduke, the same usual stuff, CG talking animals and half hearted humour. Now apart from the end dance sequence, which made me cringe, there's actually some decent humour to be had from the trailer.

Mind you, bear in mind I'm leaving my job of seven years today, I might find anything humourous! However there are actually some rather above par moments and comedy. Have a look for yourself and see.

Marmaduke is that cartoon strip about the massive Great Dane who has a mind of his own and causes lovable mayhem wherever he goes. Although the film version has them talking in English, it's something that you quickly deal with as the humour draws you in.

Mind you, saying that I was a little bored with the usual mayhem the dog causes until the humour and the characters come out, and there's Owen Wilson, Ron Perlman, Steve Coogan, William H. Macy, Jeremy Piven, and Keifer Sutherland to name but a few, and some of them are dogs! What more could you want?
