Snyder's Legend of the Guardians trailer online
Zack Snyder's latest film Legend of the Guardians, the film adapting the novel The Guardians of Ga'hoole for the big screen, has a trailer online and it looks wonderful.
I still don't get the idea of owls fighting in battle, but I'm sure it makes sense in terms of the story once you get into it. Still, the animation looks truly superb. Who would have expected this from Zack Snyder, man he does have some surprises up his sleeve.
The story for The Legend of the Guardians goes like this:
Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga'Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie's. The film is based on the first three books in the series.
The first three books in the series (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com
)? There's going to be more? Hopes of a franchise I imagine, however if it does go on it'll definitely be handed over, I don't see Zack Snyder staying too long in the one genre.
Here's the trailer from Yahoo Movies through AICN, you can head over there and watch it in high definition too.
Recognise any of the voices? There's a big cast in there.
